Removal of Darkness is the implication of Gu-Ru.
Will it go just by repeating words?
Will it go by even "appreciating and enjoying" the words of scriptures?
The self (ego) remains strong, if our appreciation is of just literary beauty such as the language construction and philosophical imagery.
We must inquire what a scriptural revelation MEANS, and how it can affect the way we see life.
LIVING THE TEACHINGS, following their implication in full measure, is the true tribute to the great teachers.
Then darkness leaves us.
